കാലാവസ്ഥാ ശാസ്ത്ര പഠനങ്ങളിലൂടെ പ്രശസ്തനായ ഡോ. കെ. മോഹനകുമാറിന് കേന്ദ്ര ഭൗമശാസ്ത്ര വകുപ്പ് (Department of Earth Sciences) അന്തരീക്ഷ ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക മേഖലയിലെ മികവിനുള്ള 2022 ലെ ദേശീയ അവാർഡ് (National Award of Excellence in Atmospheric Science and Technology 2022, instituted by the Ministry of Earth Sciences) നൽകി ആദരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
